Jennie Pullen, AMFT
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Hello, my name is Jennie Pullen and I am an associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Lightway. I provide therapy for couples, individuals, children, and teens throughout Orange County. I am especially passionate about supporting couples in all stages of their relationships, as well as helping children and parents navigate emotional and behavioral challenges. I have a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help, and I believe that creating a safe and trusting space is essential to healing and growth.
I specialize in working with couples experiencing relational stress, life transitions, communication struggles, or emotional disconnection. I also work closely with children and parents facing issues such as anxiety, behavioral concerns, or family changes. I enjoy supporting mothers as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenting. My background in education and spiritual formation allows me to bring a compassionate perspective to my work.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a relational psychodynamic framework with an emphasis on attachment. I believe that understanding our past experiences can help make sense of present patterns in relationships, emotions, and behavior. When helpful, I may integrate emotion focused therapy (EFT) to support clients in processing difficult emotions, improving communication, and repairing connection. For children, I also incorporate unique play and art-based approaches tailored to their needs.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in the field of education and have experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I’ve also worked closely with college students as an adjunct faculty member and currently serve as a spiritual director, walking alongside young adults exploring questions of faith, identity, and purpose.
I work out of my office in Yorba Linda, CA and see people from all over Orange County and offer telehealth services for those seeking online video therapy in the state of California.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking my dogs, knitting, and going to the beach.
